BLG - Spam on YouTube: no reaction from Google?

A short post to share my disappointment with YouTube. Even though I still think it is a great platform, I am extremely unpleased with the recent amount of spam I received.

Is YouTube more targeted by spammers now than before the acquisition from Google? I don't know, but I wasn't used to receive that kind of comments before:

BLG - Geriatric1927 on YouTube

The oldest member on YouTube?

In the last 2 weeks, one old fellow became very popular in the UK... and in the whole world!
That is another example the visibility Internet gives you, and in that case the "channel" used is the excellent YouTube!

Metro, the popular free newspaper distributed in the London tube, devoted almost a full page to him 2 weeks ago: he was already popular on YouTube, but it helped to dramatically increase his extraordinaire figures in terms of visits and subscribers!

BLG - 'Pirates' Seizes YouTube

'Pirates' Seizes YouTube
THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY THURSDAY launched a campaign on YouTube.com for the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," marking the first time a national marketer has advertised on the popular video-sharing site.

Bravo Disney! It was a fantastic marketing tool to make people talk about Pirates 2 and Disney!
Also they reached the 80 million unique daily visitors on YouTube.

We don't know the details of the deal, but I can foresee a bright future for the excellent YouTube: what a job to be the marketing director!

In the next 6/12 months, they may be able to reach their goal of selling the company for 2 billion dollars...

BLG- Improved video player with YouTube!

YouTube was already my favourite website to display videos on my blog. For at least three reasons:
* the quality of the video
* the size of the video (you can easily modify it without loosing in quality)
* the buzz you can create (the "Share" option)

YouTube has improved its player: now, you can reach a specific moment of the video, you can switch off the sound, and it just look prettier!
